Perang seolah-olah sudah tamat? Mungkin tidak. Ini adalah laporan
bagaimana puak Taliban dan Al-Qaida masih boleh melancarkan
serangan secara mengejut dan mengorbankan ramai tentera Amerika.
Satu cara yang dibuat ialah meletupkan bom secara remote control
(jarak jauh). Puak Taliban sentiasa mengawasi tentera Amerika
dari tempat yang jauh dan juga menyamar sebagai orang awam bagi
melaporkan maklumat kepada gerakan gerila mereka.
Perhatikan dalam laporan ini, ramai tentera Amerika terbunuh
dalam satu letupan besar. Walau bagaimanapun, pihak Amerika
melaporkan hanya 3 yang tercedera...tiada yang mati.

Jihad in Afghanistan KANDAHAR (Institute of Islamic Research and
Studies): Reports have come in that a huge explosion of an ammu-
nition dump took place at Kandahar Airport on the morning of Eid-
ul-Fitr, Sunday 16 December 2001. After the loss of one soldier
killed and three seriously injured last week, in a land-mine exp-
losion, the US Marines began taking extra care in clearing and
checking Kandahar Airport and the surrounding areas for mines and
booby traps. They tried to approach the airport grounds from no-
man's land, thinking that it was the least likely side to have
been booby-trapped. Throughout this time, they were being watched
by a Mujahideen reconnaisance team on the peaks of nearby mountains.
The Mujahideen had wired an extremely large amount of explosives
for detonation by remote, radio control. Once a large party of US
troops had entered the detonation zone, the Mujahideen exploded the
ordnance causing a huge ball of flame to engulf Kandahar Airport.
Approximately 200 US soldiers were observed by the Mujahideen to
have been either killed or injured due to this explosion.
After the explosion, the Mujahideen continued to watch the move-
ments of the Americans and they were afraid even to withdraw their
dead and injured. The Mujahideen observed injured US soldiers lying
on the ground requesting help and water and no-one was willing to
help them due to their fear of further explosions. Only several
hours later did the US soldiers begin evacuating their dead and
injured. The dead were carried in boxes whilst the injured were
evacuated on stretchers. Mujahideen intelligence was sent nearer
to the area to obtain exact information on the US casualties. The
Americans as usual said only three of their soldiers were injured.
TORA BORA (Institute of Islamic Research and Studies): The Mujahi-
deen ambushed and wiped out a unit of US Navy Seal Special Forces
troops. The troops were attempting to reach a position where they
believed Mujahideen to be since firing had been observed from that
direction. AS the troops approached closer, the Mujahideen out-
flanked them and ambushed them from their sides, blocking off their
escape routes. They attempted to run but were cut down to the last
man by Mujahideen fire. Their identification as Navy Seals was
obtained from the identity cards found on their bodies.
