19 January 2002 : US Military: Hand Over Usama Bin Ladin and Mulla Umar, or Face the Same Fate as your Afghan Brothers" http://www.azzam.com Daily news, articles and interviews on the Jihad in Afghanistan Other news sites: http://www.kavkaz.org, http://www.marsho.org, http://www.oureffort2001.com "Muslims boil with anger at America..." [Usama Bin Ladin, 1996] "The events following 11 September 2001 have proven that the West in general and America in particular, carry a deep-rooted hatred for Islam." [Usama Bin Ladin, 2001] "US MILITARY: HAND OVER USAMA AND MULLA UMAR OR FACE THE SAME FATE AS YOUR AFGHAN BROTHERS WANA(Special Report/Online): In what can be described as a clear display of US frustration and failure to capture leaders of the Taliban and Arab Mujahideen, it has been reported that the US Military have threatened residents of Pakistan, who live in the regions close to the Pak-Afghan border. At around midnight yesterday, US helicopters dropped thousands of leaflets around the Banu region of Pakistan, which lies near the Afghan border. The leaflets read that: "The coward Usama Bin Ladin and Mulla Umar, alongwith other Taliban and Al-Qaida leaders should be handed over immediately, otherwise your fate will be worst than the Afghans." Consequently, it has been reported that the residents of Banu have started preparing to evacuate the region, in fear of possible US attack. It must be noted that this is the first time such leaflets have been dropped over Pakistan soil, which perhaps hints to a change of US strategy in its search for leaders of Al-Qaida and the Taliban. It might come as a surprise to the Muslims in Pakistan who had thought that the US had 'saved' them and guaranteed their security, rather it is expected that the US military will carry covert operations on Pakistan soil, where yet more lives will be lost to this War on Islam and Muslims. Perhaps this might teach the apostate government of Pakistan a lesson for aiding the disbelievers over the Muslims, and Allah is All-Wise, Most Able. CAMP X-RAY: 600 CAGES FOR 2000 MUSLIM PRISONERS GUANTANAMO(NNI): The US Joint task force 160 Commander Brigadier General Michael Lehzet in Guantanamo Bay, stated in a press conference that so far only 200 cages have been prepared at the US Naval base, and this is due to be extended to 600 cages that will have the capacity for 2000 Muslim prisoners. He said that the interrogation of Al-Qaida and Taliban prisoners has yet to begin and will be done upon receiving orders, although no time frame has been set for this. PASHTUN TRIBES CHOOSE NOT TO COOPERATE WITH THE US MILITARY AND REMAIN STEADFAST FOR THE MUJAHIDEEN WASHINGTON(Online): The Pashtun tribes of Eastern Afghanistan have been steadfast in their refusal to cooperate with the US Military in their search for Al-Qaida and Taliban Mujahideen. According to the New York Times, the majority of the tribal leaders of the Pashtun tribes are not supporting US Special Forces in their search operations in the Eastern Afghanistan region. Consequently, US forces have been facing a great number of difficulties and dangers within this region, knowing that Taliban and Al-Qaida Mujahideen have operational guerilla attack units present around the whole area. The Mujahideen are reportedly using underground bunkers and other hidden locations as bases to carry out their attacks. It might be for this reason that the Pentagon doesn't wish to send any more of its troops to these Eastern Afghan regions of Paktia, Paktika and Khost. The US Military probably acknowledges that it would be too dangerous for them to send in troops without some sort of support from the local tribes. Hence, the cowardly US has resorted to continuous carpet bombing air strikes instead of launching a ground offensive, probably for fear of losing yet more American lives. The US continues to gather intelligence from the air through U-2 spy planes, Predator, RC 135 revet and other specialised aircraft. YET ANOTHER FAILURE OF US MILITARY 'STRATEGY' MEERANSHAH(Agencies/Islam News): US Marines have reportedly returned to their bases after interrogating residents of the Zawar region in the province of Khost for six days. Our sources report that US Commandos have left the regions of Tora Bora, Baghran and Zawar after bombing these regions continuously for two weeks and not finding a single Arab or Taliban Mujahid. It seems the Pentagon doesn't wish to embarrass itself any further by continuing the bombing of these areas, which clearly had no trace of Mujahideen and hence the regions of Baghran and Tora Bora aren't being mentioned so often in the international media. The US Military had boasted of its intense bombing over various mountains and destruction of caves in these regions, but the locals have refuted all these claims and said that all these caves are still intact and totally reusable after little repair. The US Military failed in Tora Bora and Baghran and now it has failed in Zawar. May Allah give victory to the Mujahideen. NUMEROUS COLLECTIONS OF THE HOLY QURAN, FIQH AND HADITH BOOKS SET ON FIRE IN KANDAHAR KANDAHAR(Special Correspondent): The library of the Central Religious Institution in Kandahar was set on fire. According to details, the Interim Government ordered its servicemen to burn the Religious Institutions' library, which was one that Ameer-ul-Mumineen was very fond of. This library contained thousands of copies of the Holy Quran, Ahadith and Fiqh books, which were all set on fire. The fumes were seen rising from the remains of the library for two consecutive days. This Institution was setup with sincere donations from the Muslims of Pakistan, Britain, Saudi Arabia and Africa. The Supreme Court's religious institution was also set on fire after it was looted, hence important rulings that had been passed during the Islamic rule of the Taliban were lost in the process. It must be noted that over 180 Religious institutions have already been forcefully shut down after orders from the local Kandahar government.
