There is a widget available in qt known as a "Rich Text Field".
This is actually a widget that displays html formatted data (or a subset
of html).

I consider this very useful, because it allows text displayed beautifully
formatted.
The way I use it is like this: Create the text in an application like Nvu or
OpenOffice writer, then copy the source text into a memo widget in the
database. It can subsequently be displayed in a Rich Text Field. I know from
discussion groups that other people use this on a day to day basis and write
directly into the Rich Text Field by means of a special editor.

Some other application that I am familiar with provides this kind of field.
I recommend that this text field be considered for inclusion also into Knoda.
