Hi,
As I thought it would be nice to use knoda in order to connect to a
MS-Access-database I tried to compile hk_classes. I have installed the
packages fontconfig and fontconfig-devel. Nevertheless when I run configure I
get the message:
..
checking whether FONTCONFIG is available... no
configure: error: fontconfig not available or the version is too old!!!
============================================================================
 ERROR!
 You probably have to install the fontconfig-devel.rpm of your distribution.
 The exact name of this rpm is distribution specific.
============================================================================
Next step was to look where the configure-script looks for fontconfig but it
seems that the include- and lib-files are where they are expected to be:
/usr/include/fontconfig and /usr/lib
Even explicitly telling configure where to look for the files with
--with-fontconfig-incdir=Path
--with-fontconfig-libdir=Path
has no effect.

When I try to run configure for the knoda-package, it complains:
..
checking for libXext... no
configure: error: We need a working libXext to proceed. Since configure
can't find it itself, we stop here assuming that make wouldn't find
them either.

I found that xorg-x11-libXext and xorg-x11-libXext-devel are installed.

Has somebody an idea what I have to do in order to compile the hk_classes and
knoda?
Thanks in advance,
Michael
