The solution is...to install Ghostview
(I considered installing Kexi, and Kexi called for installing 
Ghostview.....so I just installed this last one.....and Knoda was in 
position to show reports before printing)
By the way one find in Kexi home pages an interesting comparison between 
Kexi, Knoda and Rekall)
