I forward this message to the Knoda list. I'm no programmer, so I don't understand the exact implication of "has to be maintained"

Perhaps [email protected] who gave in a message the link to https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/knoda/0.8.3-4/+build/1744668 could subscribe the bug at

https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/787688

and so get in touch with Jaroslaw Sta niek to clarify the point

(I tried to "subscribe somone else" for allimaco, bu tI'm note sure I succeeded)

 Bonsoir,

I have the same problem ; I've tried kexi but without good result (unable to
import my mysql base.
Knoda work ; isn't possible to get it again in ubuntu ?

If I am not mistaken, one of the requirements is that the application
has to be maintained...

Title:
knoda rejected and kexi heavily bugged

Status in “koffice” package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: kexi

Ubuntu 11.04 tried to uninstall Knoda, but since I use it for my address-book
I kept it.
I tried to implement my address-book in Kexi, but Kexi is so heavily bugged
that it's just impossible.
I can't see any other front-end for relational databases allowing to handle
them without knowledge of SQL

Although Knoda is old and no more developped, it does work.

So I would appreciate that it be again available under Ubuntu, waiting
  for Kexi to debug.
