Carlos:
http://hl7api.sourceforge.net/xref/ca/uhn/hl7v2/examples/CorrectInvalidMessageBeforeParsing.html
shows
an example of how to define a PipeParser with a custom parse() method that
modifies an input message string before passing it to the standard parser.
Inside your parse() method, you can modify the message using string or
regular expression operations or the Light HL7 Library (
http://nule.org/wp/?page_id=75) which can parse a message string into its
constituent segments, fields, and components.
