I am interested in using the HL7Server class constructor that allows for
a locallyDriven and remotelyDriven server sockets, but after looking at
the source code and the java docs I am unable to determine how to get
access to the connection that I would use to send an outbound message
from my code over the locallyDriven port. I thought there would be
something similar to the getRemoteConnection call in HL7Service that is
extended by SimplServer to get a connection object. Any examples of how
to use HL7Server in this way would also be appreciated.

Thanks Bryan Tripp for your timely and great responses!

Thanks to all.
