Rahul,
Is a 1-byte ack/nack the only differentiator that release 2 provides?
I'm not 100% sure, but that's what I made from the documents.
The r2 doc says:
In this release the MLLP Message Transport protocol has been extended by
commit acknowledgements. This is done in order to create a reliable
Message Transport protocol, a requirement for all Message Transport
protocols used to transport HL7 Version 3 content. See the new Abstract
Transport Specification document for this and other transport protocol
requirements.
Does anyone happen to know how industry usage compares between the 2?
I'm in the USA; and we deal with several popular EMR, HIS, HIE. I
haven't seen anyone using the r2 yet.
Thanks, Erik

Just r1.
I guess you are interested in the 1 byte ACK/NACK.
