It's not an easily solvable problem otherwise we wouldn't have asked. Anyway
until Rain posts the code the most i can do is attatch the testmod with the
added particle explosion effects. Just load up any map ad use explosive
weapons and use net_graph to take a note of the frame rate. This version
currently uses 5 particles per explosion and the frame rate drop from 70 to
40 on my machine even now. Put more than 2 blasts near to each other for the
most obvious effect though.

Let's hope that attachments work on this list. This one is 752kb.
