Please help... I'm losin' it big time !!! This is soooooooo simple... I've had it working before, but now it just doesn't want to know
I've got a weapon that has is own set of anims in the player model, ref_idle_blah, ref_shoot_blah etc. ect. but the anims won't show. In the Deploy( ) func, I've added the animation extension "blah" as the last string, so the player uses those idle and shoot anims. When the weapon is switched into zoom mode I want to use a different animation so that the player holds the weapon at sholder height... so I use "strcpy( m_pPlayer->m_szAnimExtention, "blahblah" );" But it doesn't work... I've been going mad trying to find out why, so I re-coded the weapon idle so that every 5 secs the player loops through all of the avaliable animextensions in the player.mdl...and added an ALERT to let me know what anim it was playing...... ran the mod, sat back in Thirdperson view and watched... it all works fine, except for these new animations... It seems as though it can't find them so is playing some kind of default animation, but the ALERT tells me it is being played ?... In a model viewer the animations are played and look fine and dandy. Have any of you guys/gals got any ideas? Cheers.
