Is there any particular reason why the actual code that allows strafe jumping
cant be fixed?

I personally think that the curent bunny hop coverup is extremely unrealistic
and doesnt do much to help game play.

the root of the problem is the ability to gain speed by strafing and turnign
while in the air.  The current physics calculatiosn somehow allow for a player
to continue to do this no matter what they are only slowed when they touch
ground and pm_megabunnyhopping is run.  There isnt that much unrealistic or
wrong about missing the ground friction even if you need it you could make it
take a fraction of your speed instead of cropping it. and it woudl be more
realistic.

right now you can be moving through the air at mach 10 hit the gound and just
have your speed reduced to just more then masspeed.  doesnt make much sense if
the actual accel jumping was fixed then all the mods that dont have the ability
to launch a player like hldm and tfc wouldnt really have much of a problem in
fact they probably wouldnt even need to run pm_megabunnyjump unless they wanted
it really slow like CS.

or maybe there is something i am missing?
