Well, this _is_ HL coders. the point is to discuss Half-life related coding issues. HL2 source leaks fall under that, I'd think. my 0.2 monetary units?
Whoever they find will go to federal pound-me-in-the-ass prison. those that they find downloading the source are going to get sued. copyright law is pretty clear on this: use it or lose it. if you don't enforce your patents/trademarks/licensing, you lose the rights to it. Would I like to see the source? On the same hand, Would I like to know the names and faces of US CIA agents in various countries? I don't, since it endangers their livelyhood. ditto for the big V. Have respect for Valve, don't bite the hand that feeds you. a software development kit will be out sooner or later. Hopefully this won't push the launch back any further, but you can't count on it. Valve wil probably end up obfuciating certain, sensitive parts of the code to make it incompatable, so any time spent hacking on the code will be wasted. Mind you that this code is probably old, since Valve uses a CVS or somesuch to make changes. The leaked source is probably very obsolete, so why bother. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Geoff" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Monday, October 06, 2003 2:50 PM Subject: RE: [hlcoders] this is what we need here.. > It's defective. > > -EvilGrin > > -----Original Message----- > From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Jeff Katz > Sent: Monday, October 06, 2003 9:37 PM > To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > Subject: RE: [hlcoders] this is what we need here.. > > I believe it was a fire extinguisher.
