SMTP protocol is nowdays absolutelly *outdated*. Not corfirm the sender, the to, the from... nothing!.. some ISP close open relays triing to confirm the sender is from our own net, thats works, but Spam Mafias write virus that use your personal computer as a open relay to send tons and tons of spam.
Everthing inside DATA<CR> and <CR>.. is written by client. So the client can fake whatever the headers may like. This is absolutelly wrong at C/S coding. Server rulez, client follow is the way to go. Client rulez and server follow is why SPAMERS cheats everythime SMTP protocol to send his crap and make other pay the bills.
So, dont be wrong, actually virus fake identitys, and whatever you receive at your inbox can be actually a fake. If you really want use PGP, bayesian filters, and safe mail clients.

You never will have a fully safe complex C/S app. Well, you can use safe langs and sanitice with math, but this is slow and very expensive, and anyway crackers can break the protocol itself, hardware or whatever the weak string become
