This has me a bit puzzled. If I do a:
SET_SIZE(pent, Vector(-4,-28,-14), Vector(4,28,1));

The model properly collides on all sides with no issues. If I increase
the X value of the bounding box the top of the entity starts colliding
with objects when it should not. So a:
SET_SIZE(pent, Vector(-5.6,-28,-14), Vector(5.6,28,1));

Will make the top of the entity collide too soon. The larger the X the
sooner it collides. It does not matter what model is used the result is
always the same.

Here are some screen shots to help explain. The red box is a TE_BOX
using the values of v.absmin and v.absmax to show where the BBox is.

The above correctly collides on all sides.
(using: SET_SIZE(pent, Vector(-4,-28,-14), Vector(4,28,1));)

The above entity is currently colliding with the ceiling when it is not
close to the ceiling. All the other sides collide correctly.
(using: SET_SIZE(pent, Vector(-5.6,-28,-14), Vector(5.6,28,1));)
If I up the X value the top collides even sooner.

Am I missing some fundamental point in how collisions work?

Subject: [hlcoders] Source SDK released

-------------------------------------------------------

The initial version of the Source SDK has been released.
You need to own a Source game to have access to the SDK.

This release includes Source tools and work-in-progress
documentation. These tools allow creation of Counter-Strike Source
maps, models, and materials. Once the SDK is downloaded and
installed, all tools, example content and documentation will located
in your Steam folder Steam\SteamApps\<account>\sourcesdk. Tools like
Hammer and Half-Life Model Viewer can be started directly from the
Steam SDK menu.

The Source SDK will be continously updated, this first
release doesn't contain any source code to build customized server &
client binaries (Mods).
