I have found these solutions so far

To veiw any model in HLMV you make a shortcut to the exe file and drag
the mdl file over that. Valve, please fix this so people have an
option to veiw the gcfs OR their own hard drives, this drove me nuts.

HLS models were weird because I assumed they were like HL1 models,
take em anywhere, they have everything inside them, just plug em into
the code. But source makes the file relient on a bunch of textures in
your material folder, .vvd files and other such things to be in the
right folders, as specified by the model. This means that you can't
cram the model into any folder structure you like and use it, it has
to have its files in the right folders. This is kinda annoying
considering all the HLS things are lumped in one folder with nearly
every other model.

As with glow shell I have no clue, could someone come to my rescue? :D
