Plugin coders are hated. :( The best solution I've found for all my plugin dilemmas was to take out my trusty crowbar and hack the code to allow me to do things that were not given to me by the plugin api. This is essentially what all plugin coders do, even Mani's Admin Mod. In the meantime, hopefully Valve may someday consider giving us more options such as a better way to implement the VGUI, add/modify entities, the ability to use the HUD, etc.
