Linux is still DOA because of http://developer.valvesoftware.com/wiki/SDK_Known_Issues_List#Will_not_link_fully_on_Linux
I keep those KIs fairly up to date - certainly if it'd been fixed 3 weeks ago I would've updated it by now.
