yeah actually the main reasons i don't go to the channel are 1 being it's not official 2 it gets too distracting when i'm trying to work and thirdly irc doesn't 'stick' like the forums do so even if someone asks the same thing multiple times at least the forums can be searched or referenced. but irc you have to constantly repeat the same things over and over and it gets old :)
