Subject: RE: HLDS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HELP ME!!!!I ran into a similar sounding problem after I upgraded to 4108 (I used the 1.anything to 4108 upgrade binary) running GameHost. I would start the servers under GameHost and they would just hang after a few seconds. It turns out that hlds.exe was claiming that the binary was modified in some way on all three of my servers which I don't see how that was possible (all of which are virus free; they are automatically scanned every 12 hours using the latest anti-virus DAT files; no viruses were logged in the log files). I deleted hlds.exe and hlds.dat and then reinstalled 4108. Everything came up fine on all three servers. Very strange. Let me know if this helps.Regards,Tim(Dr. Atlantis)

Subject: HLDS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HELP ME!!!!Hey peeps,
I just started hosting CS on my server. It is a P4 1.4 ghz, 1 gig of ram, 4 10500 rpm drives on a nice DS2 connection.
I am running CS server games on one server. The server names and ip addresses are as follows:Ranger Tactical Command #1 @ 66.89.168.98:27015
Ranger Tactical Command #2 @ 66.89.168.98:27016The IP is static.
I am using the hlds of course... the problem I am having when I start the server via the shorcut I have created,
It runs fine for about 30 seconds and then shuts off. I then have re-initiate the servers over again.
Why is this happening to me? It gets the won auth with no problem. Seems like WON is kicking the server off.
I have gotten all the updates and it is running 1108 patch on CS 1.3 patch.Once again it seems like the hlds cancels out after 30 seconds.. How do I keep my server(s) up??

I did
this and still have had no luck at all. I deleted the hlds.exe and hlds.dat and
still having same issue. You think it might work if I delete the hlds.dat and
let it create itself over again?
