Leon said that the missing models message is usually an indication of failing ram. Run a system test tool that checks the memory and see what it says. Another thing that was mentioned was possible hard drive corruption or a failing piece of hardware in your disk configuration(disk, controller, cable, etc...). Try checking these out and see what happens.
