Your wish is answered m0gely (partly): HLDS ZTMP/BZIP2 Compression Utility for Win32 and Linux FAQ
http://home.covad.net/~k25125/Server/ZTMP_Bzip2.htm The compression method used by HLDS to compress Map resources for download is bzip2. You can use the publicly available bzip2 programs to batch create ztmp files. The existing bzip2 tools are simple command-line only and name the output file extension as "bz2" instead of "ztmp" so the rename has to be done separately or by modifying the sourcecode. It does however do wildcards for converting multiple files at a time. Be careful, the default switch is to delete the bsp after compression. Binaries and Sourcecode available for multiple platforms. qUiCkSiLvEr ----- Original Message ----- From: m0gely Sent: Thursday, June 10, 2004 1:49 PM Aside from that it would be really nifty to have a small command line tool to go through and compress the resources locally. I have a mock cstrike folder I use to extract my maps. I could just ztmp that rather than loading each map I add to my server then manually downloading them to get the .ztmp files. -- - m0gely http://quake2.telestream.com/ Q2 | Q3A | Counter-strike _______________________________________________ To unsubscribe, edit your list preferences, or view the list archives, please visit: http://list.valvesoftware.com/mailman/listinfo/hlds
