The 10 client rule only applies to what is referred to as "authenticated
connections".  So (with a few exceptions) that means that no more than 10
people can make inbound file sharing connections using a username/password
(connections using the guest account do not count).  Since HL does not use
SMB for authentication, you can have as many inbound connections that your
PCs hardware can support.
