I believe the steam serverlist used to show servers that didn't respond
as 2000 ping or something like that.. can't really remember though.

A software firewall on Win98 is a bad ping looking for a place to
happen.
But no map tells me that he doesn't have a -map <mapname> on the startup
shortcut, and no map in autoexec.cfg. I have no clue where he is getting
the
2000 ping from, especially if no map is loading. But we won't know until
he
responds to our messages.....
