Create another HLServer directory, one not containing HL1 content, and copy the hldsupdatetool.exe to the new folder and use the following command from the new directory from the command prompt.
HldsUpdateTool.exe -command update -game "Counter-Strike Source" -dir [DIRECTORY] -username [USERNAME] -password [PASSWORD] Just like you did with the first HLDS install, make dang sure you are running the command from the new directory. -=X=- -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of [AIX]Hood Sent: Wednesday, August 11, 2004 7:14 PM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: [hlds] How to download CS:S DS? Hi, I was wondering how to get the CS:S dedicated server? I went onto steampowered.com and grabbed teh steam dedicated server (420 megs) and updated everything, but I'm not seeing anything like srcds.exe after doing the updates. Is there something I need to be doing with the hldsupdatetool.exe to get it? Thanks. Reply-To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] What's command line to start a CS:S server? Right now I'm trying this... srcds.exe -game cstrike +maxplayers 20 +map de_dust That just brings up the window to run it, but I need it to start running automatically.
