Valve reads every message that goes through this list. They are very well
aware of the many people that are complaining about this. That does not mean
they are aware that there is a problem, or that they will do anything about
it. Sometimes their communications are real good, and sometimes they are
silent and don't say anything at all. This seems to be one of times when
there is silence. What happend to Alfred? Did he abandon us? Did Valve tell
him to stop posting here? The problem is that we are having a one way dialog
because there has been no communication from Valve on this issue. Only
silence. So, since all we get is silence, we don't know what Valve is
thinking or doing, so we continue to whine and cry and complain and some of
us attempt to take steps to prove that there is a problem in the hopes of
getting Valve's attention. All it would take would be a few comments from
valve: "we are aware of the problem and are working on it", "we are not
aware of the problem please provide us with specifics", "we don't give a
rats ass so quit yer whining and crying"....anything would be better then
silence :-)
