Funny you should mention myg0t, this latest exploit was posted on their websites news page days before we started discussing it here, so word was already out about it.
I can understand the reasoning behind 'dont post it here' but 9 times out of 10, by the time it's brought up here, the bug and/or exploit is already common knowledge, so really no harm done most times. As long as ya have a good dedicated staff of admins to watch over things, cheating, exploiting, TK's, etc are managable. Pain in the ass, but managable ;) - K2 http://www.hardfought.org David Fencik <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > Well...better to post it here than the mygot forums. > > Dave > > -----Original Message----- > From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of spartibus > Sent: Sunday, October 17, 2004 3:05 PM > To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > Subject: RE: [hlds] serious cs:s vulnerability = why spread the word? > > Plus, posting about it on this list, if anything, will give Valve > incentive > to fix it even faster. > > -----Original Message----- > From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of David Fencik > Sent: Sunday, October 17, 2004 9:30 AM > To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > Subject: RE: [hlds] serious cs:s vulnerability = why spread the word? > > Were you quoting my original post? > > Of course something should be posted to this list, as a warning and to > get people talking.
