AFAIK, the SLI's use 2 8x slots. Also...i am unaware of any chipset that can handle more than 20 pci-e lanes.

I just saw a review on Tom's which has a Supermicro dual Xeon board with SLI capabilities. This is cool. This has two PCI-E 16X slots though. The Supermicro has one 16X slot and a 4X slot that has 16X physical connection. Is 16X in both slots not required for SLI? -- - m0gely http://quake2.telestream.com/ Q2 | Q3A | Counter-strike _______________________________________________ To unsubscribe, edit your list preferences, or view the list archives, please visit: http://list.valvesoftware.com/mailman/listinfo/hlds _______________________________________________ To unsubscribe, edit your list preferences, or view the list archives, please visit: http://list.valvesoftware.com/mailman/listinfo/hlds
