AFAIK, the SLI's use 2 8x slots.  Also...i am unaware of any chipset
that can handle more than 20 pci-e lanes.

Sweet... *drools*.  I just saw a review on Tom's which has a Supermicro
dual Xeon board with SLI capabilities.  This is cool.  This has two
PCI-E 16X slots though.  The Supermicro has one 16X slot and a 4X slot
that has 16X physical connection.  Is 16X in both slots not required for
SLI?
