I am new to running a CS: Source server, and I never ran an old-skool CS server. I have been running a battlefield server for almost 2 years now.
Anyways, I have a bunch of questions, maybe someone on this list can help me?
1) which anti-cheat software is the best? Which anti-cheat should I use? Do they require a client anti-cheat to be installed like the old days?
2) which stats are good to go?
3) is server.counter-strike.com info updated to reflect the new source engine or is everything compatible?
I went to server.counter-strike.com and really it seemed like all the info there was for people who already knew a little bit about what was going on... There was a big phat list of admin console commands, none of which seemed to work for me.. I got HLSW working tho, and it seems fine. I would really appreciate a pointer to a good site for Noob CS admins.
I am liking source/counter-strike a lot, even tho it seems like it is all or mostly just a few of the old maps. I am hoping for some new maps, or more old maps soon... Anyways, I want to set up stats for the server and get some anti-cheat stuff on there....
