I believe this is a different issue. In this case, the player joins the server with pending steam id, then less then a minute later they are dropped with a message about the server not being able to contact the auth server. The phrase "Invalid Steam UserID Ticket" never appears. Alfred explained it as the connection between the server and the auth server stalling or being interrupted, though as often as this seems to happen I suspect the server or the auth server routines themselves may have issues, or maybe the auth server is just overloaded?
