Don't hold your breath for replies if it's urgent. If anything, use
both - it took over two weeks for me to get a response on the support
site last time. (Granted, I finally did get a response, but still...
two weeks is obscene.)

I have been watching a certain player crash the servers this afternoon.
The player sends several very long strings like 126 zeroes in rapid
succession and voila! srcds.exe crashes.
I have a batch file wrapped around the exe to automatically restart but
I know it ticks off the players to see some jerk doing this.
Anyone else see this happening?
Will VALVe pick up on this report via this mailing list?

If so then we could really use a banned player name string capability.
Not the exact string.
Strings containing text like the various permutations of mygot, etc.

Prevention is better than reaction.

They may see it here, but Valve has just implemented a new support system so you may want to try that.
