Tcp and udp are forwarded to internal server and anything internally can get out on any port to the internet, nothing is restricted going out.
"I think you need to forward more than just 27015 - there are a whole range of ports for cs
Also make sure that both UDP and TCP are forwarded."

I have the same issue,
I am behind a linux nat firewall (FloppyFirewall) I am forwarding port 27015 to my internal server and I cannot join my own server. FYI I am running a Call of Duty server using the same server and forwarding and it works fine. What is different with the Cstrike server? aren't they using the same engine? Anyone who has any ideas or input in resolving this issue, we would love to hear from you! Thanks! Dana

hi there...
a few days ago i recognized that when im type "rcon status / status" in my console, it shows the wrong server ip.
for example: server ip is: xx.xx.75.58:27015
console shows: version : 47/1.1.2.5/Stdio 2738 insecure tcp/ip : xx.xx.79.89:27015 map : de_inferno at: 0 x, 0 y, 0 z players : 0 active (14 max)
how can i change that?

Are your internal clients and server seen by Steam as the same IP? Does your server see your client by the same IP that Steam sees it? If not, you'll never connect.
machine----int IP--------------ext IP (Steam only sees this address) clients---> 192.168.1.x -----> 64.64.64.50 (FW) server --> 192.168.1.100 --> 64.64.64.55
A recent Steam update made it impossible for hosts to connect to their own servers (internally) if they're behind a traditional firewall w/ NAT that forwards game server traffic to one IP (server) yet routes outgoing requests from your clients as another (FW) IP. Steam doesn't like that and invalidates the Steam ticket ID. Unless you make changes to internal routing from your client to the server via the outside network, you're screwed. And really...who wants to do that?
Basically, if you run your servers from a professional facility with commercial-grade systems, you can't play on your own servers without "messing" with the routing. I can only play Steam-based games from home now.
