Why 64 fps server side is bad...

Two words. Shot registration. So of course you want this number as high as
feasible without loading the box down too far. At a smooth 200-240 fps on an
18 man source server, the clients connected to it are going to have much
better shot registering then clients connected to a server running at only
64 fps. So of course we need every "black magic" tweak out there to provide
a BETTER gaming environment then most other servers out there.

At present with the srcds being up only a week, its full almost 24/7, with
more and more people wanting to lease servers off of us because of the
"quality" of our server. The recent choke issue aside, the server runs darn
good. And now that we are resolving the choke issue, that much better.

[OT]This box we are going to put another two servers on, then we are leasing
a second machine with our provider, strictly for sub-leasing, because the
demand is getting great for quality servers.

[OT]We do not overload our boxes/networks like some do. Because we want the
smoothest, quality gaming experience we can get. Why are we worried about it
as a provider as well as a gamer? Because its ours, we play on it, and the
leasing we do helps pay for the costs of it. 8)

[OT]We've been that route with server providers in the industry, promising
great servers, and delivering sub-standard servers. We have decided that
dedicated boxes if not colocation of equipment, is the best route, because
then we have the option to tweak it however we want to get it running as
best as it can run. This in turn is getting around. And now others want us
to lease servers to them. And so a GSP is born...
