I think that would be much less effective, as they'd just have to
restart steam to fix it.

Give them a real working cheat...one that gets them banned.

Great idea and screw your prostitution analogy - we aren't talking about
prostitution.

No virii, no pc crashing scripts - just a simple "cheat" which is easy
to
install and in the process it erases a few critical HL2 files which
render
the game unplayable would be nice in my opinion.

I don't think most of the cheaters out there need to be very intelligent
about it. I think they probably just do a google for "counter strike
aimbot" or similar...download it and run it.

Maybe I'm wrong. I don't know much about cheating. I also don't own a
radar detector...don't carry a weapon with me...etc.

I like the idea, but I would asume most hackers keep track of what would
and
wouldn't work for usable hacks. The only hope I see for this is the
people
behind VAC2(Or who ever) would be smart enough to let the hacks slide
for a
given period of time. This would then trick people into thinking that
the
hacks will work. Then VAC2 just crates a data base of the hackers. Then
its
too late, what they thought were safe hacks just help us catch the ones
a
bit smarter. I would love to see this. Never cheated never will, and
would
be glad to see them suckered in this way. Valve wouldn't have to make
the
program just keep track of the hackers and then drop the nuke of we
gotcha
and a huge portion of their network.... maybe...
