What about when cl_updaterate is at 20, how much choke do you have then?

Right, choke discussion again.
Situation: p4 3.0 GHz 1 GB ram connection 100mbit (3com nic) OS win2k3 2x
cs
1.6 32max cpu load 60-70% tops.

Problem. We got alotta choke. Even when lowering client side settings
still
a "constant" choke of around 10 is visable in net_graph 3 .

The choke also occures when ever we just run 1 server and it has like 10
players on it.
When the client side settings are like this:
rate 15000
cl_updaterate 60
Choke is around 10.

When the settings are like this (what alot of people use)
rate 25000
cl_updaterate 101
we have around 70-80 choke.

What i dont get is after reading this article:
http://forums.unitedadmins.com/index.php?showtopic=37231
Doesnt it say there choke is pure client side controlled? That if you
choke
the server would like to send you MORE updates then you can recieve? Or
did
i mistake?
If this is correct, shouldnt a choking client need to have a HIGHER
rate/updaterate setting to be able to recieve MORE updates from the
server?

Anyway besides that, im absolutely puzzed about why the servers are
choking.
We recently moved from 22host (location RedBus London, AMD 2500+ 10mbit)
to
4u servers (Location RedBus London, p4 3.0 GHZ 1GB ram 100mbit).
When we were at 22host we absolutely had _no_ choke what so ever on our
servers and a ping of 20 (from netherlands to UK).
Now the pings are av doubled (so min 40) and we are choking,)

Ive been trying to play around with all kinda booster settings, external
booster modules what ever more. Always the FPS of the server is good, if
i
want it to be on 300 it does it, but chokes, if i run booster less under
fps
of 50, it chokes.

Any one has any idea what is going on ?

Saint K.
