kill the pid stored in the pid file ( the server process ), can be specified
with
-pidfile <file>
and start with -norestart if that's applicable.

Is there a method to kill a linux srcs dedicated server via process ID?

It appears to create two processes, one of them is srcds_run and then
creates the actual game process.

From what I can tell, the only way to close the server is to kill both
processes manually, as killing the original process (the srcds_run command)
leaves the actual server up.

How do I go about shutting it down, can I send the original process a signal
or something?
