I'm also seeing a lot more lag on specific players. It's lead me to believe that it's a new possible cheat, allowing people to "warp" making them extremely hard to hit sometimes. I asked one particular person who was warping around (looked exactly like lag because it wasn't any faster than he could normally move) where he was from and he replied California. His ping was between 140 and 190 the whole time. Now either he was lying, on dial-up (but then again his ping would probably be more like 300), or has a new exploit.
I was thinking to maybe counter this to set a maximum ping of 130 or 140. Off the top of my head, I can't remember the command. Personally, I've not been lagging, except my usual hit-box lag ;) On Apr 7, 2005 6:10 PM, [EMAIL PROTECTED] <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > Well that will be down to VAC2 testing i would think > and these servers that have name problems > do you use ScrTV? > better they concentrate on that rather than some minor name issue > > > _______________________________________________ > To unsubscribe, edit your list preferences, or view the list archives, please > visit: > http://list.valvesoftware.com/mailman/listinfo/hlds > _______________________________________________ To unsubscribe, edit your list preferences, or view the list archives, please visit: http://list.valvesoftware.com/mailman/listinfo/hlds
