Valve really ought to purchase some retail ISP links Set 2 servers
One where a fresh install is done after an update One where a HLDS Update is run over the top of an exisiting working installation Then test that the damn servers work BEFORE releasing the updates fully Wash, rinse, repeat for client updates This is not unreasonable is it? It would go a long way to making sure Valve do not release updates that don't have MAJOR ISSUES, like the server crashing or server not starting at all etc etc. Sometimes it SEEMS that at least this much has not been done, since the update problems often affect world + dog and should never have been released in the first place.
