A quick question if someone can help? My HL2 DM server sometimes dissappears from the STEAM server listings, but will still show up in ASE and Gametiger, and when I type sv_region in the console I get this: "sv_region" = "255" ( def. "-1" ) What is the (def."-1") ?
I have tried setting sv_region at 3 for Europe, but it seems to dissappear from the listing more often than if it it set at 255, even after server restarts.

Have you tried setting sv_region to 255? Maybe that will help?
255 is the default. You need to set it to the region your server is in or it will *only* show up in the world list. Setting the region will cause your server to show up in that region *and* the world. Alfred mentioned this before.
