For HLDS GUI mode it appear there is a maximum number of 4,074 characters
allowed in mapcycle.txt (not a line limit).

For HLDS console mode it appears there is a maximum of 8190 characters
allowed.

changing the heapsize did not affect these limits.

This is on my WIN32 test system, your mileage may vary with MOD / OS.

I just kept deleting name/characters until it started working ...

It's better to have a series of small mapcycle files instead of one huge
list, I have 9 or 10 that I switch between depending on who is on.

alias "map2" "mapcyclefile mapcycle2.txt"
etc.

Subject: [hlds] Large mapcycle causes Host_Error: UserMsg: Not Present on
Client 11

hlds 47/1.1.2.0 linux. I have identified an issue where having a large
mapcycle (>1000 entries) causes this error when anyone tries to join:

Host_Error: UserMsg: Not Present on Client 11

Does anyone know what the limit is to the size and/or the number of entries
in mapcycle.txt?
