Yes, this is exactly what I do. Why? Because at the time I did not know there were linux binaries for OP4. I had a linux box and I did not want to pay an arm and a leg to Microsoft for a Winbloze license, so I tried win32 binaries via wine. And it worked. It worked very well. That is what got me started. I kept doing it more for the bragging rights (for whatever little those might be worth LOL) then anything else. I wanted to prove that it could be done for no better reason then I wanted to. I've ran an win32 OP4 server on Slackware 10.0 via wine for a long time, and it performs well and is very stable. The only problem, as I mentioned in other messages, is that I can't figure out how to auto-restart after crashes.
Wait a minute so your actually taking about running a win32 exe / dlls under linux and not linux under linux? Why on earth would you do that?
