That is what I was afraid of. The regulars use it to have fun, but there is
always some pissant that just wants to crash your server :(

sv_cheats 1 on a pub server is BAD, with it on a client can crash the
server with one command which i will not mention here, if you really
need sv_cheats, make a bind so that you can turn it on and off really
fast.

sv_cheats basically allows all cheats to be used on your server
semi-regardless to any VAC system. It also allows several client side
commands to function such as 'stopsound' the ever so popular command in
1.6
and below.

sv_cheats 0 - no cheats and commands
sv_cheats 1 - allows cheats and commands to run

All your hacks basically find a way to turn sv_cheats to 1 to allow there
cheats to operate. By running a code on the client to fake the server
files
into thinking that the command has been run to turn sv_cheats from 0 to
1.

Back in the old days you could see in the server logs that wonid changed
sv_cheats 1 and then the next line it said wonid changed sv_cheats 0

So in theory if that is still how the cheats are being enabled by faking
the
server out... if VAC2 logged the code or commands to change the server
variable then it could easily wipe out the hackers.

I've had several of my regulars ask me to turn sv_cheats on. Does anyone
turn sv_cheats on, and what are people opinion in general of doing so?
