Also none of my 1.6 servers will run in secure mode there all insecure

Same here, i have been getting this problem too. As I enter a server
it downloads the security module, and it says "Verifying and
downloading resources" then a box comes up saying "Server
Verification Failed". So along with 'Stoned Smurf' I would greatly
appreciate a response from valve.
