no go play the server you don't get headshots period not that the sound
isn't being played

In your cfg directory, ../cstrike/cfg, there is a file called default.cfg.
Open that file with Notepad and comment out this line.
//HeadShotSound "misc/headshot.wav"
That will stop the sound from playing. It will still show it in the chat
box
if it does now.
