basic troubleshooting, remove all addons... There's no sense wondering why something is going on if you're not going to try to track it down. Remove everything you'd added, see if behaviour goes away or keeps happening. If it goes away, put your addons back *one at a time* until you see the behaviour return, and then go bug the people that develop the addon at fault. It's only Valve's responsibility if it is happening with no 3rd party software present.
