I've had luck in the past with simply running WMP as a service. This has
the added benefit of autostarting on boot.

OP4. sys_ticrate 150 worked, it upped it to 128 which is good enough for
me.
But I still need the flash in my browser, is there any other way to unlock
the fps?

CS 1.6 or source?

sys_ticrate 1000
max_fps 100 (or fps_max)

something like that.

Subject: [hlds] Flash and server fps

I hope I'm not opening a can of worms or beating a dead dog....

I moved my server from an Athlon box to a P4 3000MHz because I'm
rebuilding
the Athlon box. I start the server, and I notice that it's running at
64fps.
I remember the brouhaha about server fps and flash animations, etc., so I
open firefox and goto www.flash.com (that seemed to me to be a good site
to
find a flash animation ). Immediately, my server jumps up to 85.4 fps. I
close firefox, fps drops back to 64. Back to flash.com, fps jumps back to
85.4. What can I do to increase it? I'd like to see it at the 99fps it
normally runs at.
