Have you considered "disconnecting" from the XP instead of "log off"? Keeps
the services running under that user active but simply disconnects your
connection to it...when you reconnect again your desktop will be the one you
left. :)

Not to throw a spanner in all of that but win XP will only allow remote
desktops to connect to the console anyway and therefore the /console switch
iirc is obsolete and only works with server based win OS's where you can
establish a new rdp session as well as the console one.

Correct/flame if im wrong

Jack,
I have seen this behaviour.
Log in without the /console switch using Remote Desktop (mstsc.exe)
When you log out, Firedaemon won't restart the services.

Reply-To: [email protected]

My HL1 mod's crash when running under firedaemon & logging off a Windows XP
box remotely through remote desktop - We own & co-locate the server at an
ISP.

Firedaemon restarts them automatically & it does not affect the Source ports
but affects 100% cs1.6 & dod 1.3.

Settings are same for all mod's

Anyone had this behaviour before please?

Jack
