Have you considered "disconnecting" from the XP instead of "log off"? Keeps the services running under that user active but simply disconnects your connection to it...when you reconnect again your desktop will be the one you left. :)

Log in without the /console switch using Remote Desktop (mstsc.exe) When you log out, Firedaemon won't restart the services. pl4tinum Re: Message: 4 From: "Jack" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[email protected]> Date: Mon, 24 Oct 2005 23:03:34 +0100 Subject: [hlds] hl1 mod's crash when running under firedaemon & logging of Reply-To: [email protected] My HL1 mod's crash when running under firedaemon & logging off a Windows XP box remotely through remote desktop - We own & co-locate the server at an ISP. Firedaemon restarts them automatically & it does not affect the Source ports but affects 100% cs1.6 & dod 1.3. Settings are same for all mod's Anyone had this behaviour before please?
