Sorry, I wasn't trying to invoke a "my GSP is better then yours" war :P

In my experience with my provider, so far all the steam updates have
been flawless. When I've done an update in the past, I would watch the
server via HLSW, so I could tell when the server is back up, and if I
need to restart the patching process.

It's extra unnecessary work that would rock if it was fully automated,
even if all it took was an "rcon quit" to restart the server so it would
pull the new content.

Again, I'm sorry if I pissed anyone off by advertising who'm my gsp is,
the last thing I want is yet another flame war on this list.

Subject: Re: [hlds] What happened to the pre-announce and announcement
of patches?

There are also many other companies that either automatically update
installs for the customer or allow them to manually update their server
installations. AoWC is certainly not setting the curve there (and in
fact it may be nearer to the bottom of the service/feature spectrum,
from what our customers have told us).

Presumably Ray's company supports automatic or manual upgrades, judging
by his statements. I suspect that he intentionally passed up the chance
to advertise so that this will not devolve into comparison of specific
GSPs, as that discussion would be better left to one of the many
player-oriented forums and websites.
