Simmer down. A 2.8 GHz Celeron with 512MB of RAM should host 32slots of
srcds just fine. Now the Sempron1900+ guy, 12CS + a 10AVP server ... You
are probably overdoing it.

Now Matt, how many slots are you hosting? Have you tried removing plugins?
Are you running with any "performance" enhancements or is everything (OS
included) running defaults?

Please provide us with more information about your server setup.

You illustrate my point exactly. "MY setup..." You don't charge "clients"
for a Celeron processor and 512 RAM unless they know what they're getting
(and then they're called 'friends'). I've been here a long time and it's
well known that the 256k cache is the main killer forcing the system to
resort to RAM instead. Celerons are the lowest tier available from Intel and
to actually call somebody on that machine a "client" makes me not want to
answer Mr. Ross's question at all until he smartens up and uses hardware
capable of hosting "clients". It's jerks like this that give GSPs as a whole
a bad name and makes them no better than ReconGamer using Cogent bandwidth.

/me steps off the shoebox
