You are not forced to use all of the features if you don't want them. You can control who has access to what by using admin flags or disabling certain tk punishments by setting cvars. I'm planning on updating this to make it a bit easier to disable coarse chunks of functionality via the menu if need be. The mani_server.cfg may just be too overwhelming for some in terms of the number of options available to tweak small details.
